Originally introduced in 1965 as the Interpreter Emblem, the name was changed to Language Strip in 1984.   Dates in brackets indicate the earliest reference to the appearance of this badge.   Badge used in the Scout program beginning in 1991 and the Venturer and Rover programs beginning in 1998.   Except as noted below the strips measure approximately 55mm by 22mm
